Volunteer
“Compassion” is a unique event, and is possible only through the collaborative effort of many people. If you would like to contribute to this effort we would greatly appreciate it.
Opportunities include:
Installation – We need help setting up our gallery space in the week prior to opening. Light construction skills and an ability to lift objects over 50lbs are needed. 1 shift of 2.5 hours is needed. Installation will take place the evening of April 26 from 6 – 8:30PM. We need 12 people to help install the gallery.
Hospitality – We need help preparing and serving food for the Opening night Gala. One 5 hour shift is required on the night of April 30. 6 people are needed.
Docents – Docents are needed throughout the exhibition of Compassion to help facilitate sales and be available to answer questions about the pieces. Good docents have an appreciation for the arts, are hospitable, and desire to help people with questions. Several shifts are open throughout the exhibition.
Security – We need several people to help keep the gallery secure. Security involves walking the gallery and ensuring that art is not being disturbed. Several 2 hour shifts are open throughout the exhibition.
Tear-Down – We will be dismantling our gallery beginning May 17. Light construction skills and an ability to lift objects over 50lbs are needed. 1 shift of 4 hours is needed. Tear down will take place the evenings of May 17 & 18. We need 12 people to assist tear-down.
